Los Cabos

Hola, amigos! It’s time to brush up on your Spanish. We just returned from planning your trip to sunny Los Cabos, and now we know why this area is quickly becoming a top travel destination.

Located on the southern tip of the beautiful Baja California Peninsula, Los Cabos is truly where the desert meets the sea. This means you’ll enjoy warm sun as well as lush surroundings at the oceanfront Fiesta Americana Resort. We found the accommodations at this all-inclusive resort to be very comfortable.

Multiple pools offer a variety of options for swimming and lounging. Watch the ocean waves from the edge of the infinity pool, take the kids to the shallow pool, play volleyball in the activities pool, or just relax at the swim-up bar. There’s also a private beach alcove, which has beach chairs, cabanas and umbrellas if you prefer the sand and surf.

While at the resort, we visited each restaurant and can confirm that you’ll love the food. The portions are a little smaller, but that way you can sample lots of different foods during your stay. A stop at El Mexicano is a must during your trip. All of the food at this restaurant is amazing, but we really loved the guacamole appetizer that was prepared at our table with handmade tortilla chips. They also have a “melt-in-your-mouth” chocolate tamale dessert that everyone should experience.

Don’t forget that your minibar and room service are also covered in your all-inclusive package, along with signature bar beverages. On the resort there are a lot of unique places to hang out after the sun goes down. From a lounge on the beach you can appreciate the moonlight and the sound of the waves. If you like music and want to dance, make sure to visit the Black Lemon nightclub. A seat by the outdoor fire pit is a great place to enjoy tapas and live music, or unwind at the martini bar to try upscale cocktails.

Things To Do 2

The Somma Wine Spa offers generous discounts for those who want to enjoy a relaxing spa treatment while on vacation. And the golfers in the group should play a round on the spectacular Cabo del Sol golf course. Whether you choose to experience the spa or hit the links, we know you’ll be impressed with these amenities located right on the property.

You may want to get out on the ocean during your stay, too, so we’ll make sure exciting tours are available for purchase. Deep-sea fishing is very popular in this area. We experienced a half-day catamaran trip to see El Arco, a famous rock formation off the coast, and a sea lion colony. We also cruised to a bay for those who wanted to get in the water and enjoy a nice lunch prepared by the crew before returning to the marina.

We found some desert adventures that we know you’re going to love as well. A nearby canyon offers zip lines and when we bring you next year, they will have new water features to zip line through! We went on an ATV tour through the desert landscape and near the crashing waves of the beach. And an unusual tour that we tried was camel riding. Such calm creatures that gave us a peaceful ride along a secluded beach. Not many people can say they’ve ridden a camel on vacation!

As you can see, there’s a lot to experience on this trip to Los Cabos, and it can be as exciting or relaxing as you wish.  Thank you for all the great business you send to Auto-Owners so you can “Experience the World” with A-O Trips!
