Taxis can be found at the official taxi stand in front of the airport terminal, for a quick and easy journey. Always follow the signs for taxis so you know you are getting into an approved taxi. Approximate cost is 60 Euros to the city center.
Taxis in the city of Madrid are white with a red side stripe. Madrid airport has several public taxi stands, distributed over all airport terminals. They are located at:
Terminal 1 floor 0, Arrivals area
Terminal 2 floor 0, Arrivals area
Terminal 3 floor 0, Arrivals area
Terminal 4 floor 0, Arrivals area

Once you arrive at the airport and have collected your luggage:
Open your app to request a ride to your destination.

Choose the MAD airport transportation option that suits your group size and luggage needs.
Follow directions in the app: You’ll get directions about Madrid Airport pickup points directly in the app. Pickup locations may vary by terminal. Rideshare pickup signs might also be available at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport.
Meet your driver: Go to your assigned pickup location as specified by the app. Please note: this location may not always be at your nearest exit. Your driver’s name, license plate, and car color will show in the app. Verify your ride before you get in. If you can’t find your driver, contact them through the app.
Madrid-Barajas airport is served by two train lines, the C1 and the C10 of RENFE commuter trains. The airport train station is located in Terminal T4, floor -1 and is called Aeropuerto T4. (See below on how to get to Terminal 4 if you arrive in any other Terminal).
Note: Delta, KLM, and United all arrive at Terminal 1. American and British Air arrive at Terminal 4.
You can get to the Atocha train station using any of the 2 train lines, the C1 and C10.
Both depart from Madrid-Barajas Airport's T4 terminal to the center of Madrid and the city's main train and bus stations. For this reason, you can take any train leaving the airport if you want to go to Madrid downtown, Atocha Train Station, Chamartín Train Station -also called Chamartín Clara Campoamor, or the South Bus Station, also called Estacion Sur bus station or Mendez Alvaro bus station.
By train, it takes about 33 minutes to get from Madrid airport to Atocha Station.
Atocha Station is a 10–15-minute walk to the hotel, or a short taxi ride.
If your flight arrives at a terminal other than T4, you can use the free shuttle bus service to get the train station. (see below)
Spanish Heritage (our local destination partner) can provide transfer services if you want to book a private car transfer. From MAD airport to The Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Madrid
Private Car (1-2 passengers) 208.56 Euros includes taxes but NOT a driver tip, suggested tip is 10% or 20 Euros.
Van (2-4 passengers) 264 Euros includes taxes but NOT a driver tip, suggested tip is 10% or 20 Euros.
Note: US flights depart from Terminal 1.
A journey to the airport from the city center usually takes between 20 and 40 minutes, depending on the traffic conditions and the speed limits in force on the outskirts of Barcelona.
Barcelona taxis are famous for their colors: they are black with the doors and the boot in yellow.
Approximate cost is 35-40 Euros from the city center.
Your departure time from the hotel should be approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes prior to your flight time.
