Itinerary

Travelers will receive an email from Gavel International approximately 60 days prior to departure with information about how to register for excursions (to be announced at a later date). A separate email will then be sent which will include information on how to get the A-O Trips App, which will be needed for travel.

Day 0

  • Depart US for overnight flight to Madrid, Spain

Day 1 - Madrid

  • Arrive Madrid Airport (MAD) and transfer by coach to The Palace, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Madrid

  • Breakfast/lunch at The Palace and walking tours of the city center of Madrid

  • Group Welcome Dinner at The Palace, Madrid

Day 2 - Madrid

  • Breakfast at The Palace, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Madrid

  • Group tour of Madrid with a private visit to The Royal Palace

  • Lunch on own

  • Afternoon at leisure

    • Optional tours and activities

  • Dinner on own 

Day 3 - Madrid

  • Breakfast at The Palace, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Madrid

  • Day at leisure

Day 4 - Madrid to Barcelona

  • Breakfast at The Palace, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Madrid

  • Group transfer by coach to train station

  • Depart Madrid to Barcelona via high-speed train

  • Arrive Barcelona and transfer to group lunch and group walking tours

    • Following walking tours, rooms will be ready for check-in at the Hotel Arts Barcelona

  • Dinner on own

Day 5 - Barcelona

  • Breakfast at Hotel Arts

  • Group tour of Barcelona with OUTSIDE* visit to Sagrada Familia including a group lunch

    • *An inside visit of Sagrada Familia is NOT included on this program. If you wish to tour the inside of the cathedral, we encourage you to book your tour as early as possible as tour times tend to sell out.     • Tickets can be purchased approximately two months before the visit.

  • AM departures from Hotel Arts to Barcelona (BCN) airport for flights home to the US.
