Group Private Island Experience at Sandy Toes


A-O Trips will be providing a private group experience to Sandy Toes for all travelers. Prior to departing for the Bahamas, travelers will need to select either day 2 or day 3 as their preferred day for the Sandy Toes Experience. There will be a maximum number of people allowed per day and reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Please register as soon as possible for your preferred day.  Once you are confirmed for your day at Sandy Toes, please do not schedule other activities for that day as the group experience is from 9:00am – 4:00pm.

The deadline for registration is 2 weeks prior to your departure date. If you do not register by the deadline, you will be assigned to a date for your group experience and a confirmation will be emailed to you.

The group will be transferred from the Margaritaville Beach Resort to the marina where guests will board a boat to Rose Island and spend the day at Sandy Toes.

Relax on a remote beach, participate in group activities or snorkel in the calm, turquoise waters over reefs. Go kayaking, play beach volleyball or explore the island and its beautiful scenery and caves. At lunchtime you will enjoy a local buffet lunch with lemonade. At the bar, local beer, sodas, water, fruit punch, juice and well-drink cocktails are included. Specialty frozen, or top-shelf brand cocktails will be available and are at your own expense.

  • Scenic boat ride and harbor tour to and from Sandy Toes – 25-minute one-way cruise
  • A-O Trips exclusive experience on a private island
  • Full local buffet lunch including barbeque chicken, hot dogs, peas and rice, mixed greens salad, vegetable pasta salad, fresh baked rolls. (Vegetarian meals are available with advance notice). Lemonade is available during lunch.

  • Daily guided snorkeling tour with basic snorkeling instruction

WHAT TO BRING: Don’t forget to bring sunscreen, hat, some form of money (Cash or VISA or Mastercard), swimsuit, kids swim gear if needed. It is also suggested to bring dry clothes to slip into (or put on over your swimsuit) at the end of the day for a comfortable return trip to the hotel. Towels will be provided by the hotel as you board the bus. Snorkel gear will be provided on the island.  

 

NOTES:

  • Sandy Toes is not handicap accessible. Participants will need to be able to get into and out of a boat, climb stairs and paths made up of stone, sand, uneven cement and dirt.
  • There are no substitutions for those who choose not to participate in the Sandy Toes experience.
  • Sandy Toes is equipped with snorkeling gear for people of all ages and have many different sizes for both adults and children. Your island host offers a guided snorkeling tour where you will experience a variety of sea life as you snorkel the crystal blue waters just off Rose Island. Complimentary life jackets for all guests who choose to partake in this activity are provided.
  • All activities are weather permitting. Sandy Toes cannot guarantee that all activities will be available and reserves the right to decide whether to offer a particular activity on a given day based on the safety of A-O Trips guests and staff.
  • Guests understand that there are inherent risks involved with a private island destination, including but not limited to equipment failure, perils of the sea, harm caused by creatures (including bites), acts of fellow participants, boarding or disembarking boats, entering, and exiting the water, walking around the island, climbing, and descending stairs and all other activities. Guests will be required to sign a waiver onsite prior to participating. A copy of the waiver form can be viewed here.
  • Wi-Fi is not available at Sandy Toes.
